Getting out the vote in different electoral contexts: the effect of impersonal voter mobilization techniques in middle and high salience Norwegian elections

This article reports on two sets of field experiments testing text messaging (SMS) among native Norwegian voters and live phone calls young eligible to vote in their first election. The are done both local national elections. Most previous studies election salience voter mobilization use data from countries with generally lower levels turnout than Northern Europe (including Norway). addresses how the effectiveness varies by salience, a high-salience political context. We find be more effective low/middle elections, around 60 percent, high elections higher 75 percent.
